KITCHEN厨房日记: Banana Bread/Cake

Last week, I wanted to try something new. And I'm very lucky to find this recipe (without much searching) from 'Simply Recipe' website - Banana Cake! To my surprise, the method is very simple. You don't even need a mixer! And the cake batter is almost similar to the one I use for other butter based cake batter. The only difference is to add smashed banana inside.

I would recommend 'Dole' bananas as they are very sweet and soft, yet firm and more long lasting. Too bad, that day is not my day. I couldn't find any 'Dole' banana in 2 grocers/market! So, I have to be contented with some unknown brand banana. Definitely, they lost to 'Dole'.




After much wondering (and hoping), Ta-da~ they do look like banana cake! Just like those we buy in bakery or mini market. The taste? Not bad, I do taste the banana fragrance in it. The texture? Erm...it is way too compact/full if compared to those we buy from bakery. I wonder if it is because of the recipe, or my baking method?

Well, it makes good breakfast! Perfect with fresh milk. And I will definitely buy a better oven one day.

* If I were to make a list of Top 3 items in my house, that will be oven, fridge and a full-body mirror.

Last but not least, oh, How I love my look on that night. Just can't stop admiring myself!
