Yea, it wasn’t perfect, as I was short of apples and use only 1. Hence, the apple is invisible, and the texture is just merely like a cake, rather than a torte. This is best for high-tea, cut in squares and served with coffee or tea. Perfect match!
Cook thick-sliced apples with butter in a frying pan until they are tender and golden in color. Beat eggs before adding melted butter, sugar and other ingredients. Add flour and cooked apples, stir well and spoon into baking pan, smoothing the top. Bake until browned, around 30 mins. [TIPS: How to know if your cake is done, without cutting it and peeping inside? Insert a ‘satay’ stick/fine chopstick in the middle of the cake. You know it’s done when the stick comes out clean and dry.]
Coffee, tea or me? *winks*
